Pacavillage
Country House
Pacavillage, a fully restored 17th Century farm house, sits a few steps from Todi, the best living-in city in the world (ref. University of Kentucky, USA), in the middle of history-rich Italy where centuries old traditions still dominate ordinary life, and borders historic walk path number 5, an old Roman road. The country house is some 160 Km south of Florence and 100 north of Rome, a step away from Perugia, Orvieto, Spoleto, Assisi, Deruta....... Less than two hours drive and you will reach, from the village, the most famous historic cities in the world and also the Adriatic or Tirrenic seas that coast either side of Italy. Drive for less than one hour and you will walk along the world-famous Marmore falls or, in winter, sky your day away in the Terminillo resort. Pacavillage is tuck away amongst some of the most beautiful hills of charming Umbria, uncontaminated by civilization, bordered by forests, wineries, olive groves, wild fields and, down the valley, a river bed. It is served by all facilities yet it is only 4 minutes (by car) from the centre of Todi.
The property is renowned for its absolute tranquillity and peace and for its Suri (*) alpacas, animals that are not just beautiful and intelligent but that are also - and almost uniquely in the animal world - kind, shy, clean and very quiet. At Pacavillage you can laze your day away enjoying the fantastic Umbrian weather in the south facing swimming pool, walk in the forests and over 2000 years old Roman bridges (yes, they still exist), pedal amongst luscious hills, take guided tours on a horse, or simply enjoy a cup of tea on the south-facing terraces. The house, which can be rent as a unit, is split into four independent, - two of them internally linked -, high standard apartments. It is built in the traditional Umbrian style. Each apartment is served by its own kichen and bathroom and each bedroom has been carefully insulated to ensure maximum comfort to all residents.
